Darkest Hour

Have you ever had one of those days when  you just wonder, “What is going on?”  Well, today is one of those days.  It is a great day because I will see my sweet little baby via ultrasound in a few hours.  Today, however, I also received some news from a dear friend who really needed prayer.  It was enough to knock us on our knees, but instead, we found a supernatural strength and a surge of unwavering faith that pulled us together.  I cried, but not because I did not have faith.  If you have ever received an email from me, there’s a scripture on the bottom of every email that I send, which is Romans 8:28, “All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are the called according to His purpose.”   Today, I learned that I truly believe that.  In your darkest hour, he is somehow working that situation together for your good.  I haven’t just been saying it with my mouth.  I really, really believe it in my heart.  We’re taking that leap of faith and stepping out on nothing, yet knowing that God will catch us and not allow us to fall.

This was not the blog I was planning to post today or ever, but I felt the need to do so.  This song has been ringing in my ear for the past couple of days, and I wanted to share it with you.  I believe that God speaks to us through other people, through songs, and through situations.  Maybe you know someone who needs to hear this song, or maybe you need to hear this song.  I don’t know what you believe or who you believe, but I trust and hope in God.  I believe that Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection gives us salvation, life, and healing.  God has done too much for me for me not to share His goodness.  Why am I sharing this on a fashion blog?  Well, I love God and I’m not ashamed to tell the world.  When I am down, he lifts my head.  He truly is my strong tower.  When I run to Him, I know that I am safe.  Man does not control my destiny or your destiny.  God controls your destiny, and He is bigger than all of your enemies, worries, cares and issues.  He has the final say!

Listen to the words of this song, be blessed, and I will have a testimony from this situation soon!

Smokie Norful – “I Know Too Much About Him”

Verse 1:
You can’t tell me that the stars won’t come out at night,
no, you can’t tell me that the sun will refuse to shine.
There’s nothing you can say or do
that will destroy my peace of mind,
I’ve tried God for myself and He’s with me every time.

You can’t tell me that the doctors have the final say,
no, you can’t tell me that the Lord won’t make a way.
There’s nothing you can say or do
that will take away my faith,
ever since I tried the Lord,
there’s been nothing that can take His place.

Chorus:
I know too much about Him,
and there’s nothing to make me doubt Him.
Just as sure as I have life,
you can’t change my mind,
you can’t tell me nothing,
I know God for myself.

Verse 2:
You can’t tell me that a baby doesn’t cry,
You can’t tell me that June isn’t before July.
There’s nothing you can say or do
that will change my reality,
ever since I tried the Lord, I know He’s always with me.

You can’t tell me that He won’t step in and rescue me,
You can’t tell me that He didn’t die just to set me free.
Don’t try convincing me
that God isn’t everything I need,
For you see, He’s faithful when others are not,
He’s the surest friend I’ve got.

Chorus

I know too much about Him,
and there’s nothing to make me doubt Him.
Just as sure as I have life,
you can’t change my mind,
He’s come through everytime.

I know too much about Him,
and there’s nothing to make me doubt Him.
I tried him for myself, I don’t have to ask anybody else,

you can’t tell me nothing,
I know God for myself.

Bridge:
He’s proven Himself to be faithful unto me,
if I’d never had any trials,
who knows where I would be.

Chorus
