Julieanna’s Patio Cafe

I’m away in a little city that has so many little surprises everywhere I go.  Today, I stopped to get lunch at a cafe and I was not prepared for what I saw.  The plan was to get lunch to go, but I ended up sitting on the patio and enjoying a great lunch.  I didn’t have my camera, so I whipped out the cell phone to take some pictures of the peculiar things I saw.

Beautiful artwork is displayed inside of the restaurant.  Everything is so colorful and vibrant.

The sky was overcast, so there was a nice cool breeze and the weather was perfect.  And yes, this is a tropical bird hanging out at the restaurant!  The beautiful birds were allover the courtyard at the restaurant.  So, I decided to eat out on the patio and watch the birds.

My food arrived and this little guy showed up at my table.  He was so friendly.  Later, I found out that he is used to the patrons feeding him bread crumbs.  When another family sat at the table near me, he left me alone at my table and went to the next table where they fed him bread crumbs from their lunch.  One of the workers also gave him a peanut and he was in heaven.  My server actually took a picture of me standing next to him and he didn’t move an inch.  He just sat there and took it all in.  I would have included the picture of me, but the server cut my head off — bummer!

My turkey burger was juicy and delicious.  The chips were homemade by the chef and were just as tasty.  I had a great lunch!

Just when I thought I had seen it all, a peacock proudly strolled through the patio during lunch.  Where did this bird come from?

I was hoping it would display its beautiful feathers.

All of the tables on the patio have beautiful mosaic tile work.

Everything is so colorful and fun!  I really enjoyed my afternoon here.

Well, this was a pleasant little treat, and I’ll be sure to visit again!  The food was great, the atmosphere was laid back and the servers were awesome!  I hope you are having a great weekend.
