If you read my previous post on Odelia, a beautiful family-owned restaurant in Mandeville, you remember the secret door in the restaurant that led to the boutique (au Darling) next door. The back of this bookcase was a beautiful ornate mirror, which camoflauges the secret door from the boutique.
And here is the beautiful, chic boutique, which is also family-owned. Kim Debrock, the owner of Odelia, also owns au Darling with her daughter, Caroline Debrock. It is obvious Kim put her stamp on this space from the beautiful wallpaper to the luxe seating.
The store, clothes, furnishings, and accessories are beautiful and diverse! The clothes are fun and trendy. These Christmas sweatshirts and plaid pj pants are fun pieces for the holidays.
I found a beautiful pleated gold skirt that I wanted to purchase, but they only had large and medium sizes in stock. I also went onto the website and could not find it. I don’t know if I will be able to find that skirt, but it was lovely, and I don’t recall seeing one of its kind anywhere.
The little details matter — like these blue velvet mannequins for displaying accessories, the glitter banners, and the festive pink, green, and blue ornaments hanging from the chandelier.
If you’re ever in Mandeville, stop by and visit. If you can’t make it to Mandeville, you can also check out au Darling’s clothing, shoes, and accessories online by visiting the website here.
