We visited two parks (Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom) during our stay. We had a great time at Animal Kingdom, but I think the kids loved Magic Kingdom. The highlight of the Animal Kingdom was the Safari and the Avatar Flight of Passage. The Avatar Flight of Passage was a great experience, but I think the ride was a bit scary for my six-year-old. The Avatar ride simulates riding a Banshee in Pandora. I had a blast! I would have gone on the Avatar ride twice if my kids wanted to take another ride.

We went to the parks when they were at 30% capacity, so we were able to ride every ride on our list. The lines were not long at all (except for the Avatar Flight of Passage). However, the Avatar Flight of Passage line moved rather quickly, and the kids did not get restless.

At Magic Kingdom, however, the kids seemed to be a bit more captured by their surroundings.

As we rode on the Liberty Square Riverboat, my six-year-old screamed to the top of her lungs, “Ariel!” In the distance, she saw Ariel and the other princesses riding in a parade. I don’t know how she spotted Ariel. I could barely see her. I thought my kiddo was going to dive into the water and swim to land to get a closer look. She loves the Little Mermaid.

At Magic Kingdom, we rode the Astro Orbiter, the Barnstormer, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Haunted Mansion, It’s a Small World, Mad Tea Party, Liberty Square Riverboat, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Peter Pan’s Flight, and saw Mickey’s Philhar Magic. We also rode Pirates of the Caribbean. We were told this was a popular ride, but the line moved quickly, and we really enjoyed the ride.

Although there were several people standing in line, we waited less than 5 minutes to enter.

We also visited the Swiss Family Treehouse, Tomorrowland Speedway, and Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid. My six-year-old loves Ariel. This ride was a highlight for her.

The kids loved this show. The seats trembled and water was splashed on the audience when there were scenes with water in the show. I think most of the adults enjoyed this as much as the kids.

We ordered the Memory Maker to have professional photos taken during our trip. It was worth every dollar. They added Disney characters into some of our pictures and were all over the park ready to take our pictures. The Memory Maker package is great because you don’t have to stand around asking people to take pictures of you with your family. You have a photographer who will take photos for you. Do not pass up the opportunity to purchase the Memory Maker for your trip.

We had a great time, but by the end of both days, my kids and I were beat. They just wanted to eat and go to the pool to play for the rest of the day. The pool at the Grand Floridian was the perfect way to wind down after a long day at the park.
