Today, I had a quiet, fun-filled lunch with a group of wonderful women while in Miami. We were told Joey Aventura was a hot spot among the locals, so we gave it a try.

Upon entering the restaurant, you pass a wall of wine, and the servers greet you with a glass of champagne.

I don’t drink, so one of the ladies enjoyed my glass.

I ordered a mocktail, the Matcha Mojito, which contained matca, lime, soda, and mint. Some people avoid matcha, but I love it when I go to coffee shops or restaurants. It’s a treat when the barista or bartender knows what they’re doing. This drink was lovely!

I also ordered the lobster spaghetti with Atlantic lobster, prawns, white wine, shallots, cherry tomatoes, Italian parsley, and lobster lemon butter sauce. The lobster and prawns were plentiful. It was divine! I ate the entire serving and left none to waste.

I also sampled my friend’s Steak and Ravioli Bianco with grilled sirloin, shrimp, crispy onions, grana padano, and truffle beurre blanc sauce. I am not a beef eater, but I snagged a small piece from her plate. If I had been a beef eater, this plate would have been mine. The ravioli, shrimp, and beef were delightful. I shared some of my lobster pasta with her, so we’re even!

Joey Aventura is conveniently located in the Esplanade at Aventura and is only a short walk to the Aventura Mall. Aventura Mall boasts Dior, Prada, Moncler, Hermes, and other designer boutiques.
