Tom Brown’s Restaurant

If you are looking for a great dining experience with Southern hospitality, look no further than Tom Brown’s Restaurant. The restaurant had mixed reviews, so I decided to check them out for myself, and I can truly say this family-owned gem offered great food and a great atmosphere during our visit.

Outdoor dining area in the Madison location…

The decor is beautiful. The owners put time and effort into every aspect of this restaurant.

We started with an appetizer — fried alligator, which was hand-breaded and served with wasabi mayo.

We also ate the brussel sprouts, which my daughter loves.

I ordered the pan seared redfish topped with crawfish Julie, which was a great choice. I love anything with crawfish, and this was a great dish.

Of course my husband ordered steak. I am not fond of beef, but he loved his steak.

However, I do love a good dessert! Instead of giving customers a menu, your server brings out this dish with seven different desserts for you to choose from.

I chose Tom’s chessaberry with berry compote and ice cream! It was a dream and is one of my new favorite desserts!

Tom Brown’s restaurant has two locations, but the Madison location closed this summer. However, the Hays Farm location will remain open. Check out their website here, and check them out for your next dinner with family and friends.
