We were out searching for a good breakfast this morning, and we pulled into Southern Coney. The sign above the entrance states, “Best pancakes ever!” They were not lying! You see the pattern…I’m a sucker for a good breakfast!

This is a great spot to get a hearty breakfast and is only open until 2 p.m. They have a great menu with plenty to choose from.

My mom made the best pancakes, and I cannot duplicate them no matter how hard I try. Southern Coney made me teary eyed when I bit into these pancakes. Every bite reminded me of my mother’s pancakes. It was nostalgic. My hubby and kids ordered traditional pancakes.

I ordered the banana pancakes and turkey sausage. Each bite contained huge chunks of banana. The syrup was warm, and these pancakes were moist and fluffy.

They were also large, and this is one of the few times I could not finish my complete plate.
