I took a short trip to Memphis, Tennessee with my little one, and we met a beautiful young lady, Chasity Monroe, who is owner of the only female, black-owned beauty supply store in Memphis. Pink Noire Beauty Supply was founded by Chasity in April of 2022.
Chasity is a a graduate of Florida A&M (FAMU) and Columbia University. Through her company, she has transformed the traditional beauty supply shopping experience. With a corporate background at Procter & Gamble, she saw a need for a “shoppable experience” that replaced transactional interactions with community and expertise.

This beauty supply store distinguishes itself from other stores by providing a luxurious, welcoming atmosphere.

Chasity offers curated, high-quality products for textured hair. The store also offers makeup artistry, facial/spa treatments, and expert beauty consultations.

Pink Noire is known for its “Wine-Down Wednesdays” and “Champagne Saturdays”. Chasity was featured on The Lead with Jake Tapper on CNN, NBC News, and USA Today for her leadership in the black beauty industry.
Typical beauty supply stores are merely transactional, but Chasity welcomes her customers as family and offers personalized service and expert guidance. During my time in the store, she helped me choose products that were specifically for my daughter’s hair.

She also offers her own private product label.

She also features and supports other brands, including a couple of my favorites, Design Essentials and As I Am.

In late 2025, a few months after this blog, Pink Noire relocated to 5738 Stage Road in Bartlett. This move was driven by a desire for a larger, safer, and more innovative space to serve their growing customer base. The new location held its official ribbon cutting with the Bartlett Chamber of Commerce in December 2025. I can’t wait to get back to Tennessee to visit Chasity and her amazing staff. If you are ever in the area, please stop by and support her!
