Today, I had a lunch date with a friend. I had a few spare minutes prior to our lunch, so I stopped by a gift shop on my way to the restaurant. I had actually seen this gift shop for the past year, but I never had time to stop.

I am always rushing to get to my hair appointment when I pass this gift shop, or I’m on my way to my daughter’s hair appointment. Today, I took the time to stop by, and I met the owner, Tameka Goree. When I pulled up, I saw “Gifted Realty” on the door. I thought it was a realty company and started backing out of the parking lot. However, I pulled back in and decided to walk into the shop. I’m so glad I did. The owner is a broker, but she also loves making beautiful gifts for locals. I was in heaven, and I even purchased a gift for my lunch date and for Matt.

As I walked around the shop, I began thinking about how we are so gifted as women. We can do anything. I was out with a young lady yesterday who showed me her decor for her table on Thanksgiving. I gasped because it was so beautiful. I asked her if she had decorated before, and she said, “No. I went to Hobby Lobby, purchased the flowers, and decorated my table.” That was so amazing to me. She wanted a beautifully decorated table for Thanksgiving and made it happen. Tameka is no different. She is truly “gifted” in so many ways. She also has great taste, which is displayed throughout her shop.
