116 Noble

This evening was beyond spectacular. I spent time with some wonderful women from the Huntsville community. We experienced an amazing meal together at 116 Noble, a boutique restaurant in North Huntsville. Chef Noble is a renown, award-winning chef who offers customized culinary experiences for his guests. Dining at 116 Noble is by reservation only, and is a coveted treasure here in the Rocket City. Chef Noble’s wife, Terasha, completed beautiful decorations for the evening. The atmosphere was intimate and refined. I love the fact that 116 Noble is located in North Huntsville, which is growing rapidly. This restaurant is the epitome of excellence in the Huntsville community.

Terasha pays close attention to detail — notice the woman’s silhouette on the menu.

I love the decor and warm feel of the restaurant.

Chef Noble spoke to our group before we began our meal. He talked about his roots and cooking with his grandmother when he was so small that he had to stand in a chair to reach the stove in her kitchen. He also shared the meaning behind the name, 116 Noble. His grandparents’ address was 116 Elaine Drive, and of course, his last name is Noble, so there you have it — 116 Noble.

I don’t drink, but he swore by this wine from Renegade Lemonade out of Atlanta, Georgia, which contains no grapes, only lemons. I have never heard of a lemon wine, but the ladies enjoyed it.

The setup was buffet style, so we served ourselves.

Chef Noble prepared a white chocolate citrus cake for the group. He also served both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for the guests. Let’s talk about how light this cake was, and how the bits of white chocolate in the frosting just melted in your mouth. I don’t usually eat the frosting on cakes, but I ate every bit of it.

The meal was fabulous. We indulged in citrus rosemary chicken, marinated in grapefruit, orange, and rosemary. It was declious. The rosemary and citrus married well together. The cornbread was served with a smoked salted maple butter, and these sweet potatoes, my God! I could sit and eat these sweet potatoes all night. Chef Noble’s recipe for the potatoes included brown sugar, cinnamon, cayenne, and butter. The cayenne was not overpowering, but you could taste the sweet and heat. This was a delicious and filling meal.

If the chef had prepared my plate, it would have been a bit more elaborate. Since we served ourselves, I just placed my food on the plate like I do in my kitchen. I’m not as creative as Chef Noble is when it comes to strategically positioning food on my plate.

Chef Noble and his wife, Terasha, are a wonderful team! They are so amazing together.

Chef Noble has a supper club for locals to experience his elevated culinary experiences. He recently hosted a “Friendsmas” dinner.
