While in Atlanta, we decided to end our weekend with Tea Around Town. I saw this bus in New York City while we were there a few months ago. So, when a friend told me there was a bus in Atlanta, we decided to purchase tickets. I absolutely love the concept!
Prior to going to Atlanta, I packed this dress. I wear it with gold heels, and I could not find my heels prior to leaving. I climbed every mountain and crossed every sea, but still no gold heels. So, when I arrived home after our Atlanta trip, I cleaned my closet (my life fell into place after that long, hard closet cleaning), and I found my gold heels. Ladies, clean those closets for the winter. It makes life so much easier, and you’ll look fly too! 😉 Plus, you can find someting to give away. Giving is always a good thing. Unfortunately, I had to wear nude pumps while in Atlanta due to my chaotic closet situation.
Now back to the blog — passengers enjoy tea sandwiches, scones, and other fun desserts while traveling around town viewing historical landmarks in the city. The bus passes numerous landmarks such as the Ebenezer Baptist Church, The Fox Theatre, The Varsity, etc.
We had three booths for our group, and each table had two three-tiered trays, which contained desserts on the top tier, tea sandwiches on the second tier, and muffins and spreads on the bottom tier. I enjoyed the light ‘n green tea sandwich (Amish white bread with a creamy blend of egg, mayonnaise, and watercress) and the cool down cucumber sandwich (crisp cucumbers, herbed creme & micro basil).
We had macarons, chocolate mousse tarts, and a delicious tart with sweet potatoes and marshmallows.
These eggs were delicious!
We also had muffins, which my kids enjoyed. The cloud 9 creme (a salted mascarpone spread) and the adirondack preserves were flavorful and paired well with the muffins.
We drank peach iced tea, Earl Grey, Jamaican agave, and several other teas. They were all delicious!
I loved everything from the gold chargers and utensils to the roses throughout the bus.
All of the decor on the bus was beautiful, and the ladies serving the tea were sweethearts. This was a relaxing ride around Atlanta that I encourage you to try if you are ever in the area. Purchase tickets and view the experience on the Tea Around Town website here.
I was one happy rider on this trip around Atlanta. It is a great experience with your kids if they love tea parties or with your girlfriends. The buses run throughout the day, so you can choose a time that is convenient for you and your group.
Until next time, do something great for yourself, and take the time to enjoy good friends and family!
