Without telling my age, I remember sitting in front of the television watching cartoons on Saturday mornings eating Kellog’s Corn Pops cereal, Honey Comb, Honey Smacks, or Lucky Charms. While it has been over 30 years since I have had these cereals, I still remember them. I remember Tony the Tiger on the box of my favorite Frosted Flakes, and when I finished my cereal, the leftover milk was just as sweet as the bowl of cereal.
Well, there is a new place in town, Stir’s, where you can grab unlimited bowls of cereal and watch all the cartoons your heart desires. Stir’s opened in Jones Valley in February.
Stir’s has over 75 types of cereals that can be enjoyed by the young at heart.
Pick your bowl (children’s bowl or adult bowl) and enjoy dry cereal or enjoy with milk.
This is a child’s bowl. I didn’t eat any cereal. I watched my children eat cereal I had eaten as a child. They either gave me a thumbs up or a frown.
Choose your cereal (and there’s plenty to choose from). There are several displays like the one below throughout the store.
Choose your milk. If you prefer to eat your cereal dry, you can skip the milk stations.
They even have international cereals for you to sample from Africa, the United Kingdom, Australia, etc.
Once you choose your cereal, you can sit in the dining area or lounge on the sofa and watch from the many cartoons playing on the television.

Of course they had some of my childhood favorites (Trix, Lucky Charms, Fruity Pebbles, and even Honey Comb). When I saw Honey Comb, it took me way back to the leg warmers, stone washed jeans, and colorful plastic bangles. This was the cereal! I didn’t know they still made Honey Comb, but of course I am so out of touch, and I don’t eat the cereals from my childhood anymore. You know we’re all eating Paleo/Keto cereal, almond milk, and the like, but it’s good to feel the nostalgia of your childhood sometimes. Do you remember trying to retrieve the toy from the cereal before your siblings found it? LOL! They used to have great toys in cereal boxes!
Stir’s also has body butters, candles, and other fun items with a cereal theme.
They also offer cereal straws, cereal on the go, and cereal board games.
You can purchase Stir’s tees. They also have sweatshirts.
If you haven’t been, you have to experience Stir’s. I’m not a fan of artificial colors, so this will be once every month (or every other month) for the kids. Until next time, enjoy some cereal and a good cartoon!
